Product description
Obtained from a normal oak which has been attacked by the Beef-steak fungus, which extracts enough nourishment for itself and the wood is stained by chemical changes which occur.
Workability
It is a lovely timber which works easier than white oak.

Not as common as English Oak but very popular and great to work with. Once the fungus dies the oak is left a rich brown colour.
